This is regarded as a faster version of the original
French game. The pace of the game is significantly accelerated
as the guests usually place their own bets.
A single croupier hands out the "chips",
makes announcements, turns the roulette wheel, decides
when no more bets can be made and pays out the winnings.
The game field is arranged slightly differently than
in traditional roulette and the words are in English.
The Chips
Chips of varying colours are available at the table.
In contrast to the typical jetons at the Casino
Baden-Baden, the “chips” do not have
a set value.
When purchasing chips at the gambling table,
the guest picks an available colour and determines
the value of the chips himself.
|
 |
These personal chips must be exchanged again before
leaving the table. French Roulette jetons can be used
in American Roulette, however.
|
“The Racetrack”
The “racetrack” – the betting
field for neighbouring numbers – is a special
feature of American Roulette. The oval playing field
with the number fields is located next to the tableau.
Bets can be placed on so-called “neighbouring
numbers” here. These numbers are arranged
in the exact same order as in the roulette wheel.
|
Annonces such as Series 5/8, Series 0/2/3, Orphans
and the Zero Game can also be played on the racetrack.
Other annonces are usually not accepted, however, in
order not to slow the game down.
